Argentinian writer Ariana Harwicz, who is currently staying at the writers’ residence in Pécs, participated in a notable event on Thursday 8 September. She was accompanied by Spanish teacher Andrea Futó who invited the author to her high school language class on Friday. Her fellow citizen, star tenor José Cura gave a concert with the Hungarian National Philharmonic at the Kodály Centre in Pécs. In his show he performed various Argentinian songs with European roots as well as classic tenor arias. During the reception following the concert, the writer and the tenor had the chance to meet the Ambassador of Argentina in Budapest Hernán María Patiño Mayer. He was accompanied to the event by his wife. The company that gathered at this exciting event quickly became friendly and engaged in a long conversation. The shared experiences continue on Friday afternoon since all of them take part in the 2nd Pécs International Tango Festival and the lunch preceding it.
