Slovenian writer, philosopher and editor Primož Repar is the guest of our writers’ residence in Pécs for the second and third weeks of September. The date of the 2. PécsLIT literary festival also had a part in choosing the residential period since the author has been in a professional partnership with the journal Jelenkor and its writers regarding his own Central-European journal named Apokalipsa. Furthermore, he is connected to the founding of the project 'Review within Review' which helps forming fruitful connections between literary journals in the Central-European region. Through this, the collaboration of the two journals were born which gave an opportunity to numerous Hungarian and Slovenian authors to be introduced in the neighbouring country.
Repar participated in a public reading at the Knowledge Centre of the University of Pécs with the contribution of editor-in-chief of Jelenkor journal Zoltán Ágoston and interpreter János Nagy. During the residential period, the Slovenian author will be working on a novel but he is also planning on continuously deepening Hungarian-Slovenian literary relationships.
