Ákos Németh
Ákos Németh (1964, Székesfehérvár), is a playwright and director. Until 2014, he served as the Hungarian curator of the New Plays from Europe Festival. He has written numerous works in many languages. His plays have been performed at several international festivals, including the Convention Théatrale Européenne, the International Young Playwrights Festival, and the Festival of the Union of the Theaters of Europe. German, Austrian, French, English, and American theaters and theater schools have done productions of his works, which have also been performed in Slovak, Turkish, Polish, and Croatian. Over the years, he has won several prizes. including: The MR Award (1990), The Örkény Scholarship (2002), The Szép Ernő Prize (2006), The József Attila Prize (2008).
